Here’s where to find a public swimming pool near you

This new and improved pool complex opened in the 2021 season with a new pool building, a splash pad, a zero-entry area with a water playground, a water climbing wall, an open flume slide and diving boards. The city kept the 1936 pool bathhouse for historical purposes.

This park was renovated before the 2018 season and is twice its original size. "No matter what you're interested in, there's something for everyone," city spokesperson Tom Drabelle said.

Located inside Schroeder Park, this facility includes a baby pool with a small slide and interactive features, an activity pool with slides, two vortex areas, a "current channel," and a competition pool with a diving board and drop slide. There are changing rooms and a concession stand. A climbing wall was built in 2021.

"We listened to what the public wanted for this renovation," said Maralee Britton, director of St. Charles Parks and Recreation. "We implemented double-passenger rides, interactive features and more shade."
