MAP proficiency rates

The Missouri Assessment Program is the standardized testing program the state uses to assess student progress in public schools. The proficiency rate listed is the percentage of students who, on a given subject, score at a level that is considered proficient or advanced. In some instances, schools might not take science and social studies exams.

Note: Asterisks (*) indicate data involving fewer than 5 students that DESE has suppressed to protect their privacy.

No social studies scores were reported this year. See the about page for more information.

Annual performance scores

The state assigns Annual Performance Report scores to each district based on a wide range of metrics including results from state standardized tests, student growth, attendance, graduation rates and whether students leave high school ready for college or careers. Scores above 70 are considered to be in the fully accredited range. A score between 50-70 falls in the provisionally accredited range, and scores below 50 fall the unaccredited range. Decisions on a district's accreditation status are determined by the state Board of Education.

Editor's note: The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education did not calculate APR scores for any school districts in 2019. See the about page for an explanation.
