The Missouri Assessment Program is the standardized testing program the state uses to assess student progress in public schools. The proficiency rate listed is the percentage of students who, on a given subject, score at a level that is considered proficient or advanced. In some instances, schools might not take science and social studies exams.

The state assigns Annual Performance Report scores to each school based on a wide range of metrics including results from state standardized tests, student growth, attendance, graduation rates and whether students leave high school ready for college or careers. Unlike districts, individual schools do not receive an accreditation designation, but they do still receive scores. Scores above 70 are considered to be in the fully accredited range. A score between 50-69.9 falls in the provisionally accredited range, and scores below 49.9 fall the unaccredited range.
