Alberto Winfield

A Kentucky man, 38, was killed in the 2800 block of Vandeventer Avenue near St. Louis Avenue on July 18, police said. Alberto Winfield, of Symsonia, Kentucky, was shot multiple times while in his car about 1:30 p.m., police said. The car, a black four-door Lexus sedan, had come to rest on the sidewalk in front of Midtown Bar & Grill, 2816 Vandeventer Avenue. That location is on the border of the Jeff-Vander-Lou and Greater Ville neighborhoods. A suspect was seen running from the scene with an “assault-style rifle,” according to police.
