Bhritnay Taylor

Bhritnay Taylor and her uncle, Adrian Burns, were killed in a double shooting in the 1800 block of Bahama Court in Ferguson, just before noon on Aug. 6. Taylor was 31 years old and lived in the 9000 block of Marcella Avenue in Bel-Ridge, according to the county medical examiner. Law enforcement officials arrested Lavelle D. Hayes in Texas on Aug. 11 and charged him in the killings, St. Louis County Prosecutor Wesley Bell confirmed. Hayes, of the 9400 block of Glenark Drive, is accused of shooting Taylor and Burns after Taylor tried to break up with Hayes, court documents said.
