Deborah L. McFall

Deborah L. McFall, 59, of Dittmer, was killed and a 43-year-old man was injured in an attack on April 5. According to court documents, Jefferson County sheriff's deputies found McFall dead in a chair, clutching a blanket. She had head injuries and appeared to have been beaten. Police later charged Ashley L. Kossuth, 36, with second-degree murder, first-degree assault and armed criminal action. McFall and the man lived at the home and were acquainted with Kossuth, according to the sheriff's office.
