DeVonte Washington

Police found DeVonte Washington, 20, beside a car heavily damaged by gunfire at a gas station on North Vandeventer Avenue. Washington had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency workers took him to a hospital where he died. An initial investigation revealed the vehicle was stolen from St. Peters. Police believe the occupants of a silver vehicle fired shots into the stolen one where Washington was sitting. Washington lived in the 4800 block of Anderson Avenue, in St. Louis' Penrose neighborhood.
