Jamez Prewitt

Jamez Prewitt was killed in a shooting about 8 a.m. June 27 at the Park Ridge Apartments complex in the 1300 block of Sharondale Circle in Ferguson. Police believe it may have resulted from an altercation between two men, but it was not known if the two knew each other prior to the incident. A suspect, Byron Collier, 29, of St. Louis, was arrested June 28 and charged with first-degree manslaughter and armed criminal action. The victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound after Ferguson police received a 911 call about the shooting. He was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
