Laveasha Houston

Laveasha Houston, a 44-year-old woman, was fatally shot Friday evening in the Hyde Park neighborhood of St. Louis, according to police. A preliminary investigation showed the victim was inside a residence, and the suspect shot from outside the building at around 10:20 p.m. Houston lived in the 1500 block of Agnes Street in St. Louis, police said. On Dec. 26, the St. Louis circuit attorney charged Tony Cross, 25, with second-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon (shooting into an occupied dwelling) and two counts of armed criminal action. Cross lives in the 2000 block of Agnes, police said.
