Nevaeh Smallwood

A juvenile male was in custody after 13-year-old Nevaeh Smallwood was fatally shot just before 4 p.m. in a north St. Louis County home. The shooting happened in the 10200 block of Lynncrest Court in unincorporated St. Louis County. The girl was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the shooting could have been accidental, but were investigating it as a homicide.
