A St. Louis man has been charged with first-degree murder in connection to a fatal shooting in Maryville. Danyiel M. Johnson, 40, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder, one count of using a stolen firearm in the commission of an offense and one count of unlawful possession of a weapon in connection to the shooting death of Ronald L. Holland, 40, of Jennings. Only limited details about the shooting were being released out of respect for Holland’s family, investigators said. Investigators did say that Johnson and Holland had driven together from St. Louis to Maryville on Thursday. Holland’s car was later found abandoned in St. Louis.
