Synciere Jamison

Elevion Washington, 20, is charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action. Charges were also filed against a juvenile, who is also not in custody, according to Clayton police Cpl. Jenny Schwartz. The corporal said police are working to identify additional suspects, all of whom are believed to be adults, through phone evidence. Prosecutors say Washington killed 20-year-old Synciere Jamison outside a BP gas station at 1790 South Florissant Road while in a stolen Hyundai with three other people. Washington and three others were shown on surveillance camera arriving at the gas station in the stolen car, according to court documents. Three of them then went inside the store and used a credit card that was later canceled due to fraudulent activity, according to court documents. The three suspects walked near Jamison when they left the store. They left in the stolen Hyundai, according to charging documents, then stopped near Scoville and Emerling drives. Ring doorbell footage showed them get out of the car, "take a tactical position" and fire shots toward Jamison, police said. Jamison was struck in the head by one of the bullets and was pronounced dead at the scene.
