Tyler Vaughn

Police received a call for help near Interstate 70 and Goodfellow Boulevard, and arrived about 9:30 a.m. to find a fatally wounded man lying on the ground. He was pronounced dead at the scene, which is in the Walnut Park West neighborhood. A man was later charged with murder after authorities say he chased Vaughn and another man and shot them dead because he thought they had stolen a catalytic converter from a car he was repairing. The bodies were discovered about 10 hours apart on Feb. 28 just blocks from where the suspect lives with his mother.
