Police on Thursday identified the 43-year-old man who was shot and killed early Wednesday in a parking lot. Country Club Hills officers were called to the 7400 block of West Florissant Avenue just after 6 a.m., St. Louis County police said. They found Brandon Cotton, who had been shot once and died at the scene. The agency asked St. Louis County to take on the homicide investigation, police said. Cotton lived in the 100 block of Brigadoon Circle in St. Louis County, police said.
