Homicide detectives launched an investigation late Thursday after a woman was found fatally shot in the head inside a home in the city's Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood, police said. Officers were called at 11:30 p.m. to the 5800 block of Kennerly Avenue, police said, where they found the woman, who had been shot. She was in her 30s but had not been identified by Friday afternoon, police said.
