Darrell Walker, 23, was shot dead inside a vehicle Monday afternoon before crashing in the Vandeventer neighborhood of St. Louis. Police were called just after 2:30 p.m. to the 3900 block of Page Boulevard, near the intersection of Sarah Street, for a report of a shooting. There they found a two-vehicle crash. Walker was found fatally shot in the driver's seat of a Jeep Compass. He lived in the 8800 block of Cherrywood Lane in Jennings. Police said investigators believe Walker was shot before the crash. A female passenger in the Jeep was injured in the crash, not from gunfire, Wall said. Police said the other vehicle involved in the crash was a Chrysler 200, and no one in the Chrysler was hurt.
