Darrius Huggins, 27, was shot several times about 10:30 p.m. Sunday near Gravois Avenue and Cherokee Street. He died at a hospital. Huggins lived in the 7200 block of Watson Road. As police investigated the shooting, two men showed up at a hospital who both had been cut by a knife, police said. Those two men told police they were driving on Gravois Avenue when a man threw something at their car. The two men stopped to confront the man, who then grabbed a knife and injured one of them. The second man was stabbed in the leg when he tried to break the two up, police said. The first man grabbed a gun from their car and shot Huggins, police said.
