A 27-year-old Belleville man on Tuesday was charged with murder in the shooting death of another man this weekend. Terrell Amerson is facing charges of first-degree murder, three counts of unlawfully possessing a weapon as a felon and unlawfully possessing firearm ammunition as a felon. He is in custody without bond at the East St. Louis police department, authorities said. Amerson is accused of shooting 27-year-old Dayman Warren Jr. about 1:30 a.m. Sunday in the 900 block of St. Louis Avenue in East St. Louis. Warren was pronounced dead at a hospital. Amerson was arrested the same day as the shooting, police said. Warren lived in Granite City, police said.
