A gunman has been charged with murder in a killing here Thursday that was caught on video, police say. Willie Crowder, 40, of Pine Lawn, was caught on video footage fatally shooting a man in the chest, according to court documents. Harris was found shot in the street in the 3000 block of Gary Drive on Thursday by North County Police Cooperative officers responding to a 911 call, the documents show. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The shooting was caught on video footage by a camera nearby and Crowder admitted to shooting Harris, according to court records. St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Wesley Bell's office charged Crowder on Friday with one count of murder in the second degree and one count of armed criminal action. The North County Police Cooperative, based in Vinita Park, polices Velda Village Hills and Pine Lawn. The cooperative also polices four other small municipalities in north St. Louis County: Dellwood, Wellston, Hanley Hills, Beverly Hills and Uplands Park.
