Emmett Austin

Emmett Austin, 43, was found shot in the head around 10 p.m. Sept. 29 in the 1600 block of Northwinds Estates Drive in Ferguson. Ferguson police haven’t released a home address for Austin, but records show he lived in the Metro East. Max Jones, 21, was charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action in the killing of Austin, as well as the earlier killing of Earl Jones Jr., 57. Max Jones does not have any prior criminal convictions. He lives in an apartment in the 1300 block of Ferguson Avenue in Ferguson but also has an address on Gladys Avenue in Hazelwood.
