Eric Shadrick

A 60-year-old man surrendered to police Wednesday morning and led them to a home in the Benton Park West neighborhood where they found the bodies of his two roommates he had killed with a shotgun, authorities said. Police later identified the victims as Eric Shadrick, 63, and Roy Ray, 77. Prosecutors charged Edward Leonard Labrier with two counts of first-degree murder and armed criminal action. Labrier was jailed Wednesday afternoon. Bond information was not available. Labrier and the victims knew each other; Labrier apparently was living at the same residence with the two men, police said. They were shot to death inside 3029 Wyoming Street, according to the St. Louis medical examiner’s office. Labrier surrendered to police before officers even knew a crime had been committed.
