St. Louis man has died days after he was punched and fell to the ground, hitting his head. Prosecutors filed a murder charge against the alleged attacker. The St. Louis circuit attorney's office on Wednesday charged Jeffery D. Santee, 40, with second-degree murder. Santee is accused of punching Jeraun Spiva on Sunday outside Spiva's home in the 4200 block of Fair Avenue. Police said Santee punched Spiva and Spiva suffered a severe injury after hitting his head on the ground. Santee didn't call 911. Instead, he pulled Spiva into an apartment. A witness called Spiva's mother, and Spiva's parents came to find him bleeding from his head, police said. Spiva, 41, was admitted to the hospital in critical condition and died two days later.
