A fight over a woman between two Wentzville neighbors ended last week in a deadly shooting, court documents say. Charging documents accuse Craig Jackson, 35, of shooting and killing his neighbor Kristopher King, 34, the evening of Oct. 20 outside their shared fourplex at the Hidden Valley Apartments in the 1100 block of Evergreen Court. Jackson was charged Saturday with first-degree murder, endangering the welfare of a child and two weapons offenses. Jackson remained on scene when Wentzville police were called to the shooting just before 8 p.m. Oct. 20, court documents say. He told officers he shot King in self-defense after King accused him of having sex with King’s girlfriend.
