Timothy Roberts

A man was found shot to death Sunday inside a vehicle on I-55 near the city's Soulard neighborhood. Police on Monday identified the victim as Timothy Roberts, 31, of the 1300 block of Benton Street. The vehicle was on the shoulder of southbound Interstate 55, near Seventh Street. Police were called for a "motorist assist" around noon Sunday after a passerby reported it. Police said the vehicle had bullet holes in it. Roberts was unconscious and not breathing when officers found him. He died at the scene. The death is being investigated as a homicide. Police have no suspects.
