Amorion Fuller

Amorion Fuller, 16, was shot and killed on Aug. 20 in the Lemay area of St. Louis County. A teen was charged in September 2025 with killing his friend during an argument over pizza and vape pens in Lemay. Authorities said Derion Davis, 17, grabbed two guns and fired them at once, killing 16-year-old Amorion Fuller. Derion was certified as an adult and charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action. On Aug. 19, 2024, Derion and two friends had a sleepover together at a home in the 300 block of Goetz Avenue, St. Louis County police wrote in court records. Derion was 16 at the time. Derion and Amorion got into an argument the following morning over pizza and vape pens. Police said at some point during the disagreement Derion got ahold of Amorion’s gun. They continued to argue, police said, while Davis had both his pistol and Amorion’s gun pointed at Amorion. “As Amorion stepped towards Derion, Derion shot both pistols striking Amorion two times in the neck,” police wrote in charging documents. Amorion died at the scene. He had lived in the 8600 block of Delmar Boulevard in St. Louis. Police said that after Derion fired the shots, the third friend left the house, had a neighbor call police and found his mother, who was at work. Investigators said they executed search warrants on Derion’s social media and found he searched online about how to disable his Instagram account, about a shooting on Goetz and asked “can the Feds can come get a juvenile.” He was arrested and referred to juvenile court. In his ruling Tuesday to certify him as an adult in the case, Judge Jason Dodson wrote that the shooting was part of a pattern of escalating offenses, noting Davis has a record dating back to 2022 — including misdemeanor assaults, resisting arrest, operating or being caught in stolen vehicles, burglary and multiple trespassing offenses. And Derion had failed to comply with past probation sentences overseen by the juvenile court, Dodson wrote. The judge quoted a juvenile officer who called the fatal shooting “heinous,” and Dodson determined the crime involved “viciousness, force, violence and a complete disregard for human life.”
