Ashleigh Selmon, 39, died Sunday after two men fatally shot her through her apartment door in University City while trying to rob her son, police said. Carlione Boyd, 20, and 22-year-old Terrell McCann Jr., 22, each have been charged with second-degree murder and first-degree robbery. Selmon's son told police he was working on his car in a parking lot in the 6400 block of North Drive when the two men approached him. Boyd then put a gun to his head, prosecutors said, at which point Selmon's son grabbed the gun from Boyd and fired shots at Boyd and McCann. McCann fired back, hitting Selmon, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Boyd is in custody and both men are on a $500,000 cash-only bail. Their hearings have not been set according to electronic court records.
