FERGUSON — A man was killed at a city park Saturday afternoon, police said. Police responded at about 4:30 p.m. to Forestwood Park on Ferguson Avenue. Officers found 47-year-old Darryl Allen Shannon, of Jennings, with injuries in the parking lot. Detectives investigated the case overnight and arrested a person of interest Sunday. Chief Troy Doyle said he was saddened by the killing. "Our prayers and condolences go out to this individual's family," Doyle said in a statement.
