A man opened fire outside of a party in the city's Dutchtown neighborhood last month, killing one person and injuring two others, charges say. Brayan Adalberto Rodriguez-Banegas, 20, was at a party on July 7 in the 4400 block of Grace Avenue when he got into a fight with multiple people. Authorities say he then pulled out a gun and shot three people, including Denis Perez-Canales, of St. Louis, who was killed. Charges say Rodriguez-Banegas fled from the scene after the shooting. He is not a legal U.S. resident, though charges do not say where he came from or how long he has been living here. He is facing charges of first-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault and three counts of armed criminal action. Once he is arrested, he will be held without bond.
