Dennis Cooperwood Jr.

A man was fatally shot Monday afternoon in the parking lot of a convenience store on Lucas and Hunt Road. Investigators said Dennis Cooperwood Jr. was shot about 3 p.m. in the parking lot of a Circle K, 5215 Lucas and Hunt Road. Cooperwood died at a hospital. Cooperwood, 20, lived in the 5600 block of Statler Avenue in Country Club Hills. Police provided no additional details about the killing on Tuesday.
