A man was killed and a pregnant woman was injured in a shooting early Wednesday morning in the Glasgow Village area of north St. Louis County. County police said Deonte Anderson, 21, of the 2300 block of Old Hanley Road in North County, was pronounced dead at an area hospital. The woman, whose name and age were not released, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The unborn child was not harmed, police said. The incident took place shortly after midnight in the 200 block of Estridge Road. Police responding to a call about a shooting found the two victims. In January 2026, Caeden Malik Thompson, of the 3800 block of Melba Place in Northwoods, was accused of second-degree murder and armed criminal action in the death of Deonte Anderson, 21, on Dec. 11. Thompson was certified by county Family Court to face charges as an adult, county police said. A probable cause statement said it is believed that Thompson was invited to a house in the 200 block of Estridge Road by a woman living there. Thompson and the woman were in a front room when Anderson entered the home and found them. The statement said after an argument, Thompson shot Anderson, who was unarmed. The woman also was shot, the statement said, and had non-life threatening wounds. Police said the woman was pregnant but the unborn child wasn't harmed.
