ST. LOUIS — Two were shot and killed early Saturday morning just north of The Grove entertainment district, police said. Around 1 a.m., police found a man, 42, shot in the chest, on the sidewalk at Arco and South Newstead avenues, about two blocks north of the bars and restaurants on Manchester Avenue, in the Forest Park Southeast neighborhood. He was taken to a hospital, where he died. Police also found a woman, 37, dead in a home in the 4400 block of Gibson Avenue, about a block north. She had been shot in the head. No one answered the door at the woman's home on Saturday.
