J.T. Hemphill

A man was charged with killing his brother during an argument Tuesday night at the assailant's north St. Louis County home, county police said. Police said David Jerome Hemphill, 46, of the 10600 block of Moidart Circle in the Glasgow Village area, shot his brother, J.T. Hemphill, 49, in the front yard of David Hemphill's home. Police said David Hemphill faces charges of second-degree murder and armed criminal action. He was being held in the county jail Wednesday night on $250,000 cash-only bond, police said. Police said officers found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the victim lived in the 10700 block of Spring Garden Drive, about a half mile from where the shooting took place.
