James Stabler

James Stabler, 66, was shot to death at the home he shared with his son in the 9700 block of Holtwood Road in Overland. Overland police Chief Andy Mackey said Stabler was shot about 1 a.m. Wednesday. Officers arrived at the home and found Stabler dead. They arrested Stabler's 29-year-old son, Mackey said. "It was an argument that just escalated," Mackey said. No charges had been filed against the son, as of early Wednesday afternoon.
