Prosecutors on Wednesday charged a St. Louis man with fatally shooting a man during a struggle over a gun at a local gas station. Trevell M. Warren, 31, is facing charges of second-degree murder, robbery, unlawful possession of a firearm and two counts of armed criminal action after prosecutors say he shot and killed 51-year-old John Christmas. Court documents say Christmas walked into the Phillips 66 gas station at North Kingshighway and Dr. Martin Luther King Drive on Sunday but was told to leave. Christmas began arguing with the store employees when Warren walked up and tried to steal a pistol from Christmas' pocket. The two got into a fight over the gun, and during the struggle, Christmas was shot and killed, court documents say. A judge ordered Warren to be held without bond.
