A 17-year-old has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of a man in his home in East St. Louis Wednesday evening. Illinois State Police were called to assist in the investigation into the death of Keith L. Giles, 36, who was found in his home at the 700 block of N. 75th Street with multiple gunshot wounds. Giles was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:42 p.m., according to St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye Sr. According to a state police release Friday, the juvenile suspect fled the scene in Giles' vehicle. Richmond Heights Police in Missouri located the vehicle and took the juvenile into custody without incident, the release stated. The suspect is currently being held at the St. Clair County Juvenile Detention Center. The suspect's name is being withheld due to his age. — Belleville News Democrat
