Leon Richardson

A Belleville man was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the death of Leon Richardson of Washington Park. Vincent E. Brown, 61, was taken into custody Thursday after a traffic stop in Madison, according to Illinois State Police. He is accused of fatally shooting Richardson, 66, in the 5000 block of North Park Drive in Washington Park on Aug. 11. Brown is being held at the St. Clair County Jail, police said.
