ST. LOUIS — A QuikTrip security guard was shot and another person killed while the two were struggling for the guard's gun early Monday in the Dutchtown gas station. Authorities were called just minutes after midnight to QuikTrip, 4101 Gravois Avenue, police said. They found a 39-year-old security guard had been shot in his thigh and another person had been shot in the head, police said. The security guard was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. The other person was pronounced dead at the scene. Additional information was not immediately available.
