Matthew Lackey

A woman called 911 on Sunday and told dispatchers she had just shot her husband, police said. Officers went to a home in the 1500 Block of East 8th Street and found 31-year-old Matthew Lackey shot dead, according to Washington police. His wife, 31-year-old Samantha N. Lackey, was still on scene and told police again that she had shot her husband. Investigators said the two were arguing when Samantha Lackey fired one shot. On Monday, she was charged with murder and armed criminal action. She was denied bond on the charges, police said.
