Van Love Jr., 38, was fatally shot in the city's Fountain Park neighborhood. Love was shot in the back and head just before 8:30 p.m. Feb. 17 at 900 North Kingshighway Boulevard, police said. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition and died shortly thereafter. Love lived in the 4300 block of Oakwood Avenue in Pine Lawn.
