A man was shot dead Saturday near North Vandeventer and Maffitt avenues. Police said the victim was in his late teens or early 20s. He was found on the sidewalk about 3:45 p.m. Saturday. He died at the scene. The scene is in the city's Jeff-Vander-Lou neighborhood. Police have not released the victim's name or said if they have a suspect in the killing.
