An attempted robbery left one man dead in a parking lot here on Friday afternoon, police said. The alleged shooter is claiming self defense. Two men and a boy met in a car in the parking lot to engage in what Florissant police are calling "illegal activity." The meeting ended in an attempted robbery, and one of the men was shot dead, police said The incident happened in the 8200 block of Lindbergh Boulevard around 3:15 p.m.
