Robert Allen

Police arrested 64-year-old Gregory Allen for allegedly shooting and killing his brother in the Kingsway East neighborhood. The victim is identified as Robert Allen, 62, of St. Louis. Police said Robert Allen was gunned down in the 4800 block of Maffitt Avenue. He was found about 5:30 p.m. Sunday on a porch. He had been shot in the back and died at the scene. According to a probable cause statement filed Monday, Gregory and Robert Allen lived in the same home. Another brother and neighbor said Gregory Allen made numerous threats to kill his brother with a shotgun. When officers arrived on the scene, Gregory Allen claimed he did not know how his brother died. However, after police found a firearm, he claimed he had accidentally shot and killed his brother. Officers charged Gregory Allen Monday with first-degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful possession of a firearm.
