Roderick Brown, 54, the owner of a strip club in Washington Park, was shot to death Thursday morning. Officers were dispatched early Thursday to Dollies Playhouse, 6210 Forest Boulevard, in response to a report of a shooting, a police report said. According to Illinois State Police, who are handling the investigation, two people were shot and taken to a hospital. One of them, Brown, later died. Brown, was identified by a spokesperson for the St. Louis Medical Examiner’s office. Teneisha Brown, Roderick Brown’s wife of four years, described her husband as larger than life and a man with a lot of energy. Owning a strip club was one of his goals, she said. “For some reason, his dream, a wish on his bucket list, was to have a strip club.” Brown owned the club for three years.
