Albert Willis

Albert Willis, 68, was shot shortly after 2 p.m. Thursday in the 4300 block of South Kingshighway, police said. Willis was found shot by officers responding to an emergency call for help. He was taken to a hospital where he died of his gunshot wounds, police said. A 26-year-old man was charged with murder. The defendant, Dalair Kahlil Jefferson of the 3700 block of Penrose Street, also faces charges of robbery, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon by a felon. Authorities said in court records that Jefferson stole a firearm from the victim and the incident was captured on gas station video.
