A man died after being shot and killed by police. The police were chasing a car connected to an armed robbery. They tried to stop the car, but it sped away, leading to a "lengthy pursuit" involving several police agencies, according to St. Louis police spokesman Mitch McCoy. The car chase ended when the man parked the car, and then he ran and hid in a brushy area near railroad tracks. While chasing him, an FBI Fugitive Task Force member fired shots at the man. He died later at a hospital. Police did not say if the man driving the car had anything to do with the robbery.
