Barnard Oranika

Police said they are investigating a homicide that happened Sunday in the 2100 block of Caseyville Avenue. Bernard Oranika, 32, was pronounced dead by the St. Clair County coroner's office, Swansea police said in a social media post. Police said Oranika and the suspect knew each other, and the suspect is known to detectives. Swansea police are investigating Oranika's death as a homicide alongside Illinois State Police. Police didn't release additional information Sunday afternoon.
