Two men on Wednesday were charged with shooting a man nine times after an argument outside a Ferguson apartment complex. Daron Wilson, 26, and Damon Hampton, 29, were both charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action. Authorities say on July 1 both men opened fire on Brandon Haywood, who was dating Wilson's ex-girlfriend. coroner has not responded with his age/residency Wilson had been texting his ex-girlfriend about her being around Haywood prior to the shooting, Ferguson police said in court documents. Then, Wilson and Haywood began to argue outside an apartment, police said. Someone broke the men up and Haywood went inside an apartment. When he came back out, police said Hampton opened fire. When Haywood began to stumble, Wilson then fired shots at him, police wrote in court documents. Haywood was shot nine times. Police recovered 14 shell casings at the scene. Investigators found ammunition that matched those shell casings inside a car owned by Wilson's new girlfriend, they said in court records.
