Ivyon Houston, 22, broke into a house in the 9800 block of Lorna Lane in Dellwood Saturday morning and shot the owner in the foot, according to court documents. Kids were present at the time, records state. Police say Houston then came back to the house later, kicked down the front door and threatened the family with a gun. He then returned a third time that day with his brother, but St. Louis County Police officers arrived at the home at the same time. Police say Houston and his brother Brian Sonnier, 27, sped away in the car while officers followed. The chase led into St. Louis, when Houston's car crashed at the intersection of North Broadway and East Taylor Avenue. Sonnier was killed in the crash, according to court documents. Houston's felony charges include assault, burglary, endangering the welfare of a child, unlawful possession of a firearm and fleeing a stop, among others.
