Charles E. Jones

A series of weekend shootouts killed one teenage boy, Charles E. Jones, and injured another. The deadly gunfire came in three waves. First, two men were walking in the 1600 block of Camp Jackson Road when one of them exchanged gunshots with people in a car near Kenneth Avenue and Armand Drive. Charles Jones was in the Nissan; the other people in the car took him to a hospital and dropped him off. He died two days later. The Nissan then went to the 100 block of Lazarcheff Drive, where the people who originally fired on the car went. There was another shootout, and another person in the car was shot and injured. The people in the car later returned to Lazarcheff in a different vehicle and exchanged more gunfire; no one was hit.
