Christina Lynn Rentchler

Christina Lynn Rentchler, 35, was shot dead. Police found her dead at the scene. She had multiple gunshot wounds, including one in the back of her head. She was pregnant. Vanier Jerimiah Jones, 28, is charged with two counts of murder and multiple other felonies. A second victim, a 42-year-old woman, was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound. She told police that Jones had shot her before killing Rentchler, and that when she was playing dead to avoid further injury, she heard Jones ask Rentchler’s children where Rentchler was, police said. When police spoke with Jones, he said he was with another person, identified in court documents as Witness 1. Witness 1 refuted Jones' story and said that Jones told them he had killed a woman.
